Projects

Ullo Health Clinic

Our largest project to date, the Ullo Health Clinic, is being designed by our Clinic MEP team. This clinic will serve approximately 15,000 people in Ullo and the surrounding area. Today, the walls have been put up, and EWB-ISU is actively fundraising to pay for the roof of the clinic.

Borehole Automation

Currently, our water tanks require constant monitoring by villagers to ensure they are running properly and not overflowing. Our Borehole Monitoring team is working to change that. They have already developed a device (pictured) that can record and transmit borehole data and the team is now developing a system that will utilize that data to automatically turn the water tanks on and off, thereby preventing spillage from overflowing.

Gozu Dam Bridge Development

Due to continuous and excessive flooding, making traversing the Gozu Dam area extremely difficult during the rainy season, our Water Infrastructure team is working on designing and building a pedestrian footbridge, which will have a massive impact on foot travel. The team plans to install a temporary bridge soon and build a stronger, permanent bridge in the future.

Latrine Implamentation

After building a new restroom for the female students at the local high school, our Latrines team is now focusing on building a new restroom for the male students. The team plans to use two empty septic tanks that are already located on school grounds. The team is finalizing their design and is currently researching sustainable solutions to managing the smell coming out of the restrooms.
